Bengali Cultural Association (BCAS) Denmark arranges mostly five events in a year by associating Bengalies who are living in Denmark, Sweden and Germany with cost sharing basis.
The name and the small description of the events are as follows:
- The Durga Puja (autumn festival)
- The saraswati Puja (spring festival)
- The summer picnic
- Bengali New Year celebration
- The summer outdoor activity
The Durga Puja
The ceremonial worship of the mother goddess, is one of the most important festivals of Bangladesh and India. The festival implies the victory of good against the evil. It also symbolizes the women empowerment. Apart from the spiritual gathering, the festival is also a platform of reunion and rejuvenation, and a celebration of traditional culture and customs. The five day long festivals is most celebrated in the autumn (efterår) in each year. BCAS, Denmark celebrates this auspicious events in Denmark since 2013.
