Bengali Cultural Association (BCAS), Denmark was formed in December 2011 by a group of Bengali expatriates from Bangladesh and India who had a strong desire to celebrate the religious festivals, nurture the culture and to keep up the traditions in a soil away from the native soil. This urge and the nostalgic feeling about the unbounded pleasure which derived from being with your own kind of community gave birth to BCAS Denmark. It is a meeting point for all Bengalis who want to share the richness of their culture and celebrate spiritual festivals like the Durga Puja (autumn festival), the Saraswathi Puja (spring festival), and Bengali New Year etc. The distinctive feature of BCAS Denmark is the homely, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, whether it is a five-day long autumn festival, or a one-day long spring festival, this quality will always stand out as an identity of BCAS. The members of the community are bonded to each other like a family and put their efforts whole-heartedly for the success of the events. The organization is registered with the Danish authority as a volunteer organization since 2013.
